Our team of paramedics, emergency medical technicians and dispatchers work together to provide skilled and compassionate advanced life support, basic life support and scheduled transport service to an area of approximately 1,000 square miles, reaching more than 1 million people annually.

Paramedic
Responsibilities
- Respond to 911 emergency ambulance requests and interfacility transports
- Provide Advanced Life Support care to the sick and injured, and provide safe transport to a medical facility
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree or higher or the ability to obtain an Associates Degree within 24 months from start date
- If you have 4+ years of experience, the Associates Degree requirement is waived.
Licensure/Certifications
- Current and valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Allina Health driving policy requirements
- Current CPR, ACLS, & MN State Paramedic certification or National Registry with the expectation of receiving MN State Paramedic certification within 2 weeks prior to start date
Related Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Good interpersonal communication skills. Excellent documentation (writing) skills
- Establish & maintain good rapport with local EMS organizations, first responders and hospitals
- Provide & maintain high medical standards of care to the sick & injured per standard operating procedures
- Treats patients and customers (hospital, nursing and other staff we meet while providing patient care) with high regard and kindly. Honors patient privacy as indicated by policy
- Must follow the Allina Health Code of Conduct at all times. Knows, understand & demonstrates the precepts behind Integrity, Respect, Trust, Compassion & Stewardship

Responsibilities
- To provide Basic Life Support care to the sick and injured
- Provide safe transport to a medical facility
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited EMS program
Licensure/Certifications
- Current and valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Allina Health driving policy requirements
- Current CPR, Current MN EMSRB EMT Certification or National Registry
- Nationally Registered candidates must obtain their MN EMSRB EMT Certification by date of interview
Related Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent documentation (writing) skills
- Computer to include Microsoft outlook and EMS electronic patient care charting
- Must have acceptable driving record

Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls for service, collect essential information from callers; determine nature of emergency; dispatches appropriate personnel
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Certification
- Current EMD certification preferred
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification
Related Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Prior EMS Dispatch experience preferred
- Excellent geographic knowledge of the entire area serviced by the Communications Center
- Ability to accurately read a map book
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral
- Ability to make decisions without specific guidance
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing computer technology
- Ability to remain calm and professional in dealing with employees, field units and the general public in emergency situations and periods of heavy call volume
